Acclimatise with Combine Air
High Altitude Preparation Program
TRAVEL TO altitude with confidence
Travelling to high altitude is an incredible experience, but without preparation, it can also be physically demanding and unpredictable.
Acclimatise with Combine Air is a program designed to help you feel confident, capable, and ready before you go. Delivered inside a simulated altitude environment 3500m above sea-level, it helps your body adapt to lower oxygen levels so you can enjoy the experience, not just endure it.
WHO is THIS program FOR?
This program is designed for people travelling to high-altitude destinations, including:
- First-time trekkers preparing for their first experience at altitude
- Experienced adventurers looking to improve energy, recovery, and overall experience
- Travellers heading to destinations such as Everest Base Camp, Kilimanjaro, Machu Picchu, and similar treks
- Anyone wanting to reduce the risk of altitude-related issues and feel more prepared before departure
WHY ACCLIMATISATION MATTERS
At altitude, oxygen availability is reduced. This places additional stress on your cardiovascular system, muscles, and recovery capacity.
Without adaptation, this can lead to:
- Rapid fatigue
- Reduced performance and energy
- Difficulty recovering between days
- Increased likelihood of altitude-related symptoms
Altitude affects everyone differently. Fitness alone does not guarantee readiness.
HOW ACCLIMATISIng WORKS
During sessions, we use pulse oximetry (SpO₂ monitoring) to track your oxygen saturation in real time inside the simulated altitude environment. This allows us to observe how your body responds to hypoxic stress and adjust exposure progressively and safely. Rather than guessing adaptation, we can see it, guiding your training based on measurable physiological feedback. The result is a preparation strategy that is deliberate, measurable, and grounded in evidence.
THE PROGRAM:
Step 1
Altitude Baseline Assessment
Every participant begins with a comprehensive assessment to understand:
- Your current fitness and capacity
- Your travel destination and altitude exposure
- Your timeline
This assessment forms the foundation of your plan.
Step 2
Personalised Preparation Pathway
Following your assessment, you’ll be guided into a pathway suited to your trip.
All pathways are designed around a minimum six-week lead-in, with program length scaled to trek difficulty and altitude.
Step 3
Prepare with Confidence
As you progress through the program, the goal is simple:
- Adapt gradually to low oxygen
- Build confidence and improve tolerance
- Arrive ready, not uncertain
This assessment forms the foundation of your preparation.
WHY COMBINE AIR
Combine Air specialises in simulated altitude environments, using science-backed systems to replicate the effects of high-altitude exposure.
