THE SWEET SPOT

Combine Air is the high altitude training phenomenon that unlocks the science that elite athletes have been using for over 50 years to gain a competitive advantage. CA offers Squad Based Training, Personal Coaching and Solo Hire Zones all in an arena that is 3500m above sea level. What does that mean for you? When you train at CA you benefit from the physiological adaptations. Training at Altitude offers some pretty stellar benefits, surpassing all other forms of training at sea level. ALL-STARS can achieve optimal results in their CA x Training sessions by finding their SWEET SPOT, a specific intensity range that can take their training to new heights.

We recommended ALL-STARS work at an intensity of 80 – 85% aka in THE SWEET SPOT, during session plays to create maximum adaptations within the body. Giving ALL-STARS a natural, competitive edge.

During breaks with a drink in hand, ALL-STARS can walk to the end zone, place one finger into THE SWEET SPOT reader & monitor their SPO2 reading to assess whether they need to put more pedal to the metal, maintain intensity, or go a little lighter to enter the milky way of mecca wellness benefits!

UNDERSTANDING THE SWEET SPOT

THE SWEET SPOT is a carefully selected intensity range that yields optimal results. Working within the 80-85% intensity range provides a natural, competitive edge, facilitating significant adaptations within the body. This level of intensity pushes ALL-STARS’ bodies to their limits, promoting greater endurance, strength, and overall fitness improvements. By consistently training within THE SWEET SPOT, ALL-STARS can take their fitness journey up a notch.

MONITORING THE SWEET SPOT

To ensure ALL-STARS are effectively training within THE SWEET SPOT, it’s crucial they monitor their progress. One valuable tool for monitoring training intensity is SPO2 readers. SPO2 is a measurement of the percentage of hemoglobin saturated with oxygen in their blood. By monitoring their SPO2 levels during breaks in their training session, they can assess whether they need to adjust their intensity.

THE ROLE OF SPO2 READINGS

During training breaks, ALL-STARS are encouraged to take a moment to assess their SPO2 readings. Using a specialised device or finger reader, they can obtain their SPO2 reading easily. At  CA, the ideal SPO2 reading is between 80-85%. This range indicates the optimal saturation of oxygen in their blood, ensuring their body receives the necessary fuel to sustain the intensity of their workout. If the reading falls below the range, they may need to increase their effort to stay within the desired intensity level. On the other hand, if their SPO2 reading is consistently above the range, it may be an indication to reduce their intensity slightly.

BENEFITS OF TRAINING WITHIN THE SWEET SPOT

Training within THE SWEET SPOT offers numerous benefits that contribute to ALL-STARS’ overall fitness journey. Some of these advantages include:

ENHANCED ADAPTATIONS

Working at the optimal intensity range stimulates greater physiological adaptations, including improvements in cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, and endurance capacity.

EFFICIENCY

By targeting THE SWEET SPOT, ALL-STARS can achieve substantial results in less time compared to other training methods.

COMPETITIVE EDGE

THE SWEET SPOT at CA provides a natural competitive advantage, allowing ALL-STARS to surpass their previous performance levels.

WELLNESS BENEFITS

Training within THE SWEET SPOT promotes overall well-being, releasing endorphins, reducing stress levels, and boosting mental clarity.

When it comes to maximising your training outcomes, finding THE SWEET SPOT at  CA is essential. By working within the 80-85% intensity range and monitoring SPO2 levels, ALL-STARS can optimise their training sessions and unlock exceptional results. Remember, consistency and proper monitoring are key to reaching fitness goals and experiencing the transformative power of altitude training. So lace ’em up and get ready to push it to new limits.
