WHAT IS ALTITUDE TRAINING?
The ability to train in a controlled environment where oxygen levels are safely adjusted to simulate altitude levels of 3500m above sea level. As a result, the increase in blood oxygen flow enables our heart, lungs and muscles to function more efficiently. This leads to a stack of other health benefits for all body types and abilities.
HOW DOES ALTITUDE TRAINING WORK?
Outside the Arena walls, sits the Chamber. This is the heartbeat of CA x Clubs and creates the magic 3,500m above sea level.
The Science: A large compressor, with the help of a hospital grade filtration system creates a hypoxic environment by pumping nitrogen into the Arena. Which reduces the percentage of oxygen in the air which in turn reduces the blood oxygen saturation levels for anyone training in the Arena.
Training at altitude is scientifically proven to trigger a range of physiological responses not achievable at sea level as the body adapts to cope with the reduction of oxygen taken into the lungs. Additionally training at altitude can lead to significant improvements in your health, fitness and overall athletic performance.
